This summer, Emmanuelle attended two international 14C conferences to present work from the AGROCHRONO project.
The first “14C & Archaeology” conference took place in Niterói, Brazil, from 29 June to 3 July 2026.

Emmanuelle presented a paper entitled “Compound-specific radiocarbon dating archaeological lipids in pottery vessels below 200 μgC” on methodological developments in the compound-specific radiocarbon dating of archaeological pottery for very small samples.
The second “14C & diet” conference, held in conjunction with the “CLARA” conference, took place in Santiago, Chile, from 6 to 10 July 2026.

Emmanuelle presented a paper entitled “Chronological data on caprine domestication and dairy exploitation across the Iranian Plateau directly on food residues preserved in ceramic vessels from the 7th to 5th millennium BC.” In her presentation, she discussed data on the palaeodiet of the Iranian Plateau, primarily, and direct dating of dairy products identified in archaeological pottery.
