During fieldwork in November 2025, our team conducted geoarchaeological surveys under the direction of Elodie Brisset. Based in the village of Gazi Shah, the team explored the area around the Peyarejo-mari archaeological site and the surrounding mountains. The team visited the Binjo Waterfall, the alluvial terraces of Mount Bith, and Lake Manchar. Samples were collected to gain a better understanding of the region’s paleoenvironments.
Our Pakistani colleague, Danish Ahmed Sheikh, has been documenting our fieldwork. In this video, he presents the geoarchaeological surveys conducted as part of the project.
